Maria Grazia Pau is Chief Scientific Officer of AdJane, bringing over 25 years of end-to-end experience in human vaccine development, including more than 19 years in leadership roles across vaccine R&D.
She joins AdJane from Janssen Vaccines and Prevention (Johnson and Johnson), where she served as Executive Director and Compound Development Team Leader within the Communicable Diseases group, leading cross-functional teams advancing vaccines from preclinical proof of concept through to late-stage clinical development.
Her programme leadership spans malaria, tuberculosis, HIV-1, filoviruses, SARS-CoV-2 and extraintestinal pathogenic Escherichia coli. Much of this work was conducted through complex multi-partner consortia, in collaboration with organisations including the NIH, the Gates Foundation and other non-governmental partners. She has co-authored more than 70 peer-reviewed scientific publications.
